Ladies Night Out is a breast cancer awareness event in Downtown Sycamore, Illinois, and Whimsical Perspective needed invite cards to distribute to their customers. Created in Microsoft Publisher. Whimsical Perspective required 4x6 cards for their customers to take and distribute as a flashier alternative to business cards. The floral design is on all of Whimsical Perspective's branding and the fonts are consistent with their business cards and website. Created in Microsoft Publisher. SYCAMORE – Whimsical Perspective, a new store in downtown Sycamore, will open its doors Thursday. The shop is located in the Opera House building at 366 W. State St. on the corner of California and State streets. ... Laura Bright, owner of Whimsical Perspective along with her husband, Ron, hope to add a new, unique vibe to the downtown area. Bright has been posting on a blog under the same name for the past six years, featuring painted furniture pieces, DIY home décor and design, which will serve as inspiration for the store. The Midwest Museum of Natural History needed a professional book to share with potential community corporate sponsors. The goal was to create a modern, minimalist design that could easily be updated with a new logo, font, and color scheme at the completion of the re-branding project. All content was developed based on previous sponsorship materials and research of comparable sponsorship/membership books. When the Midwest Museum of Natural History participates in outreach programs, they often are in contact with program directors, outreach coordinators, teachers, and administrators, who typically request a flyer with basic information that they can pass on to parents or hang in their offices. MMNH featured a museum gift shop promotion which highlighted products from their Bird's Eye View exhibit and Bird Bonanza event. They required a whimsical promotional poster to draw attention to the bird items in the shop. When MMNH has special promotions on memberships and admission prices, they require posters to hang from the front desk which reflect the museum's aesthetic, but could easily be changed in color when the museum undergoes re-branding. The Midwest Museum of Natural History required simple, editable pamphlets to advertise their volunteer opportunities, programs, events, and special exhibits. The museum participates in community outreach and it is important for them to have these pamphlets available in large quantities whenever they are needed; because of this, printing in color and relying on a graphics designer for more "professional" materials is not a sensible option in the long term. It is imperative that the flyers be consistent in branding and design and adaptable to changes. |
