The Midwest Museum of Natural History needed a professional book to share with potential community corporate sponsors. The goal was to create a modern, minimalist design that could easily be updated with a new logo, font, and color scheme at the completion of the re-branding project. All content was developed based on previous sponsorship materials and research of comparable sponsorship/membership books.

When the Midwest Museum of Natural History participates in outreach programs, they often are in contact with program directors, outreach coordinators, teachers, and administrators, who typically request a flyer with basic information that they can pass on to parents or hang in their offices. MMNH featured a museum gift shop promotion which highlighted products from their Bird's Eye View exhibit and Bird Bonanza event. They required a whimsical promotional poster to draw attention to the bird items in the shop. When MMNH has special promotions on memberships and admission prices, they require posters to hang from the front desk which reflect the museum's aesthetic, but could easily be changed in color when the museum undergoes re-branding. The Midwest Museum of Natural History required simple, editable pamphlets to advertise their volunteer opportunities, programs, events, and special exhibits. The museum participates in community outreach and it is important for them to have these pamphlets available in large quantities whenever they are needed; because of this, printing in color and relying on a graphics designer for more "professional" materials is not a sensible option in the long term. It is imperative that the flyers be consistent in branding and design and adaptable to changes. |
