*** OCTOBER 2018 UPDATE *** The 52 Conversations Signage was attached to a "ballet bar" fixture to allow for more flexible movement throughout the store. "52 Conversations" is a new brand at Anthropologie. Each month, a limited-edition top will be released in four different patterns, or four "conversations." By the end of the year, 52 tops will be released. The signage was made from a 1x4 plank and painted with a washed stripe treatment. The "52" was drawn in graphite, while "conversations" was hand-painted. The platform riser was made from birch plywood. The stripe treatment starts out bold and bright, but gradually gets lighter on each side of the box.

The stands were cut from 2x4's at a slight angle with a chop saw blade; the blade was centered on the board so plates will sit properly. The summer windows at Anthropologie were inspired by paper fans and Asian geometric design. My transfer to Anthropologie Naperville was in the middle of the window design process. I was provided a design sketch based on a standing pleat prototype that I used as a basis for the structure. The pleated paper and structure were created behind the scenes before installation. |
